Mummy Bloggers' Friday Roundup

Categories: Just for mums, Fun & activities, Places to go / holidays, Best of the Blogs

Hello and welcome to our regular roundup of what's going on in the mighty world of mum blogging. Remember to let us know about your blog by emailing me or posting a comment below.

  • This week, eyebrows were raised at the story here on ParentDish about the family who want to raise their child without telling anyone whether he/she is a boy or a girl. I know! I couldn't believe it either, and I wrote the flipping thing. Life - you couldn't make it up, could you?
  • But I must confess that I've been moonlighting with another blog. Well, not really. Kind of. What happened was, I've been enjoying the series of posts on Yummy Mummy Tips about good party gifts for under a tenner. You know how much I love a party. So I sent in my latest bargain (a Star Wars laptop, no less) to YMT, who's featured it here.
  • Later today, we'll have advice for you on how to tell your children if you're getting divorced. Many women find keeping a blog is the only thing that keeps them sane when they're navigating a divorce - check out Yummy Mammy's story for one. She credits the power of blogging (and Twitter) for getting her through.
  • But if life all gets too much for you, take a break, with advice from family travel blog Have A Lovely Time. Their events roundup here is packed with ideas for day trips across the UK in July, including a robot dancing event you're all invited to take part in. Yes, let's all embarrass our children with some stupid dancing. Who's with me?
