In the later part of pregnancy finding decent nightwear becomes more and more important, as the likelihood is that it's going to be the only thing you can get comfortable in. As Sarah mentioned in her Up the Duff column this week, jeans are a big no no at this point, they're just too tight! You've also got to consider what you're going to pack for your overnight bag if you're going into hospital for the birth.

So, what can a heavily pregnant lady wear to look good for those first pictures of you and the baby?

This nightie and cardigan combo comes from La Redoute and was designed specifically for the first few weeks of motherhood. It's £25 and the colouring will suit most skin tones.



This nightdress and matching babygro comes in a hand tied gift bag, so you can give this to an expecting friend or pop it in your hospital bag. I really like this pack, it'll be especially useful for those early pictures, although it is a bit pricey at £54.99. You can order it in pink too if you find the grey is a bit draining.



I've given you a lot of nightie options as trousers can feel a bit constrainng. These pyjama top and bottoms are hardly cheap at £64 for the set, but they're definitely stylish and the top comes with clip sleeves to enable easier breastfeeding.



Finally, we've got this light and pretty option, which borders somewhat on bridal wear. This maternity nightie is from Seraphine and is made of chiffon and silk. Very luxurious, it's surprisingly only £34.
