Friends, I must confess that this week I migrated briefly to The Times newspaper's School Gate blog. But some of the commenters were mean to me, so I scurried right back over here. You guys are much nicer, with better hair.

This week on ParentDish we revealed the truth about those hard-to-find GoGo Hamsters. And related to that, I loved this hilarious post from Experimental Mommy about how to score a hamster (or Zhu Zhu Pets as they're called in America).

In Blogneyland (like Disneyland with WiFi), Linda from Got Your Hands Full confessed to a bad case of pottymouth, whilst Liz at Living With Kids confessed to a far worse crime - an unsuitable Mum Crush.

Also this week, Dulwich Divorcee was stopped in her tracks by a case of mistaken identity, whilst SnafflesMummy had a case of unknown identity. And 3 Bedroom Bungalow let flow with a full on rant about the evaporation of common sense parenting. I find that common sense is quite ill-named, since it's usually very rare and not common at all.

And finally, some of our favourite multimedia mums and dads have invaded YouTube this week, showcasing portraits of themselves as done by their children. Ever wondered what a mummy blogger looks like? Look below - I told you they were gorgeous:
