Hello and welcome to our regular snapshot of the beautiful people who write parenting blogs whilst their kids gnaw at their ankles, desperate for attention.
Much excitement this week as the finalists were announced for the MAD Awards for the UK's best mum and dad blogs. You can see the full list of finalists here. I do hope there weren't too many people disappointed at not making the shortlist. Many terrific blogs were nominated, but the voting was close and inevitably some missed out. It's still great that someone took the time to nominate you, so keep wearing those badges with pride.
Here at ParentDish we are bursting with extra pride for our writer Debbie who's made it through to the finals of Best MAD Blog Photography for her gardening blog Carrots and Kids. Well done Deb. May your votes rain down like blossom.
Also here on ParentDish over the last week we've had our biggest ever number of post comments – over 600 at the last count. And what was the subject that got commenters so riled? Why, that old chestnut smacking of course. Have you noticed how angry pro-smackers get? Doesn't seem to enhance calmness, does it?
Elsewhere this week, Whimsical Wife is having a grumble, Cafe Bebe is feeling nostalgic, whilst The Archers at the Larches feels the need to apologise
And finally, I know blogs can be a lot of fun, but they can provide a path through tough times too. Spare a thought for Patch of Puddles, who has been through the worst kind of tragedy recently, but is gaining support from blog readers and commenters. Thinking about you PofP, hope you see some sunshine soon.
