Hello and welcome to our weekly roundup of what the best of the UK's parent bloggers are up to. Less juddery than a hung parliament, more fun than a pelvic floor exercise
Just when you thought that election fever was over, a fresh crop of candidates are seeking your votes. Finalists in The MAD Awards for the best UK parent bloggers have been campaigning with gusto this week. Blog posts, Tweets, DMs and blatant begging have all been brought in to play.
This is one contest where it's positively encouraged to parade your cute children in a shameless attempt to curry favour. There's even some good old-fashioned bribery in the form of the chance to win bags of toys from Woolworths if you vote in all categories.
And if you just haven't had enough of politics yet, Alpha Mummy has gathered a good roundup of what the mummy bloggers had to say about the election.
Here on ParentDish we have been asking a vital question of enormous national importance: what do you want to say to The Wiggles? Nixdminx also has vital questions in mind, namely can cupcakes give you a firm butt?
Also this week, Muddling Along Mummy had a shockingly controversial confession to make – she hates that John Lewis advert.
Huge congratulations to Amy from And 1 More Means 4, who gave birth to absolutely scrumptious baby Freddie this week. So now we know what the baby's called, what will the blog be called now that one more makes five?
And finally, the blog that has made me LOL, ROFLMAO and WML* all at once is the one you've all been retweeting with pictures of stuff ruined by kids. It claims to be the strongest visual birth control around today. They're not kidding.
*WML = Wet Myself Laughing. Better do more pelvic floor exercises.
