Every week we celebrate the best of the UK parent bloggers in our Friday roundup. This week a bunch of our favourite bloggers are making us proud, and proving that all that computer time hasn't caused their legs to evaporate, as they gather for a mammoth charity event.

They're setting off on a sponsored walk the length of Hadrian's Wall – that's 84 miles, almost coast to coast across England. The walk is in aid of the Joseph Salmon Trust, a charity that supports parents who've lost a child.

The initiative started with Dan from All That Comes With It, who was soon joined by Ian from Single Parent Dad. Other bloggers making up the 60-strong group include: Jo Beaufoix, Insomniac Mummy, Dad Who Writes and bloggers from the US, Ireland and Holland.

Dan says: "When I wrote the blog post I was hoping that one or two people would be interested in coming. But I had underestimated how much Neil and Rachael's story had touched people, or how much they realized how important the Trust's work is".

So far they've raised over £14,000 and hope to hit a target of £20,000 by the time the walk is finished.

Rachael Salmon, whose son Joseph's death inspired her to set up the charity in his name, said: "We are proud and touched to have all these people supporting us, and we wish them all the very best, and would like to say a heartfelt 'thank you' to them all."
