Mummy Bloggers: Now with added cake
Filed under: Best of the Blogs

Hello and welcome to our roundup of the best of the UK's parent bloggers.
Now that we are in the depth of the summer holidays, blog updates are getting sparser - yes I have noticed that you lot are just uploading a bunch of photos and calling it a post. We want words, people. Staring at your pictures won't get your readers through a coffee break. Please dredge up your most embarrassing experience and write about it, and the rest of us will laugh heartily admire your prose.
This week on ParentDish we brought you the world's most bonkers baby names. Though where I live in Brighton, any of those would count as perfectly normal. Have you met my children, Flower and Beelzebub?
Elsewhere, it's all going on - If I Could Escape.. is armed with two tampons. Blotted Copybook is protesting about gender stereotypes, whilst Spudballoo is haunted by the memory of Beryl's Bush.
More calmness can be found with Blissful Mum, who's in fairy cake heaven That's where I'd like to be, it looks divine.
And say hello to newbie blogger Jenography. Wait, that's no newbie - it's Jennifer Howze, fresh from scaling the paywall at The Times. I used to love reading Jen's posts on Alphamummy and wish her well on her new blog.
Finally, Walking With Angels wonders whether online friends count the same as real life friends. Course they do. You're my best mate, you are. Plus you've got all the good cake recipes.
Everyone featured in this roundup gets a special blog badge, so get in touch to claim yours. And if you'd like to be featured here, tell us about your blog in the comments box below
