Hello and welcome to our regular weekly roundup of what's new for families - and this week, it's all about the oldies, reborn.

Break out your red stripy jumper, because the latest Dennis and Gnasher DVD compilation of their popular animated BBC show is released today.

Retailing at £7.99, Dennis and Gnasher - School Rules? Highly Over-rated! features six episodes of our prank-mad anti-heroes. They battle grown ups, wimps and their nemesis Wet Eared Walter. Yes Walter the Softy is no more in this updated version of the Beano stories.

And speaking of updates, did you know that the classic board game Monopoly has been reinvented for its 75th anniversary? Manufacturers Hasbro have just launched their Autumn toy range, and new age Monopoly was the star of the show.

The biggest change is that all the dealing is done via credit card. So no more battling over who gets to be the banker, and no more multi-coloured Monopoly money to flutter around the board. The value of the property has been updated too - now a slice of Mayfair will set you back a cool £4million.

The board (pictured below) is now round instead of rectangular, and a central electronic device does all your sums for you.

The big kid in me loved the tactile nature of the old Monopoly, and there's something wonderful about playing a game with your children that you also played as a child. But I can see how younger players without that history might find this modernised version more exciting. What do you think?

Monopoly Revolution has just been released and is widely available, RRP £29.99, currently on offer at Argos for £22.49

Last week we told you about some of the latest family movies on release, and now here's news of a way to watch your favourite films in the open air

Cinema under the Stars is happening at Robin Hill Adventure Park on the Isle of Wight from 20th to 29th August. They've installed a massive outdoor screen, and are inviting you to come along with your popcorn picnic and enjoy a classic family film. You can choose from five Hollywood blockbusters and family favourites: Jurassic Park , Grease, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Mamma Mia and Jungle Book.

Doesn't that sound like fantastic fun? Tickets cost £6 each or £20 for four. You can find out more or book tickets here

And finally, with all this talk of oldies revisited, you may be feeling the urge to do some reinvention yourself.

For new mums - Celebrity personal trainer Tracy Anderson has released The Tracy Anderson Post-Pregnancy Workout. Tracy is credited with transforming the bodoes of Madonna, Shakira and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Paltrow says: "Never did I imagine that in my 30's, after two children, I would be able to change my body to the degree which I have. Tracy's method works! All you have to do is put the time in and you will see the results you never thought possible".

Anderson optimistically claims she can help you achieve a "teeny tiny dancer's body" . But I like my wibbly wobbly pie-eater's body. And the cynical might say that these glam celebs weren't exactly fighting the flab to begin with. Still, Anderson admits that she gained 60 lbs (over 4 stone) in pregnancy, and managed to snap back to fitness, and says she can help you do it too. Do we believe her? I guess we'll have to try the workout to find out.

The Tracy Anderson Post-Pregnancy Workout is out now on DVD, RRP £19.99
