There's no stopping mummy bloggers when they get behind a charity campaign. Recently we followed the efforts of the Hadrian's Walkers, who raised over £20,000 for their cause.

Now charity Save the Children is harnessing some of the power of the parenting blog, as they've announced plans to take a group of the UK's leading mummy bloggers to meet fellow mums in Bangladesh.

The trip - dubbed #blogladesh - kicks off a campaign to pressurise world leaders at the UN Summit in New York to deliver on their promises to make life better for mums and children around the world.

Mummy bloggers taking part (and pictured here with Liz Scarff from Save the Children) are: Josie George AKA Porridgebrain of Sleep is for the Weak; Sian To of Mummy Tips and Eva Keogan of Nixdminx. They'll be tweeting, blogging, vlogging and creating photo galleries live from Bangladesh.

And parent bloggers staying at home have been urged to support the campaign by blogging about it and displaying a special Blogladesh badge which can be picked up here.

Liz Scarff, Digital media manager at Save the Children who designed this trip said: "There's been a ripple created by the incredible army of mummy bloggers creating content on the net. Real change happens when people come together and this #blogladesh trip is Save the Children recognising that mums are passionate about saving children's lives, and mummy bloggers can link with that emotionally just by being who they are."

Scarff continued: "We've asked Eva, Sian and Josie to come and discover for themselves that motherhood is universal. One mother's fears and worries for her child can be heard the world over, whether they're from Bangladesh or Bangor in Wales. The challenge is for these bloggers is to tell the story in their own words - real people sharing the voices of mothers in Bangladesh who don't have a chance to get their opinions heard."
