Here's our tried and tested weekly roundup of stuff your family will love.

For family film fans
Today sees the release of The Tooth Fairy, a family film which is much funnier than you might expect, mainly due to the antics of The Office and Extras star Stephen Merchant. He's been let loose from Ricky Gervais and turns up here as a wingless fairy called Tracy. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson also stars as a jaded ice hockey star who has a little magic reignited into his life when he becomes a temporary tooth fairy.

Here's an exclusive clip to give you a taste of how he gets on:

My family all enjoyed this one, it's got lots of charm and laugh out loud moments. Julie Andrews is just right as the Fairy Godmother, and Billy Crystal also pops up with a hilarious cameo.

RRP is £19.99 for the DVD of The Tooth Fairy, and £24.99 for a triple play DVD/Blu Ray - these sort of combined packs are becoming more and more common, and are worth paying the extra for if you think you'll be upgrading to Blu-Ray any time soon. Plus you get far more extras in the Blu Ray pack. Play.com has a great offer on the DVD if you're quick - it's only £12.79, plus you get a free child's cinema ticket.

A bathtime treat for mums and babies
Little Me Organics have just released two new gift sets, available at Boots. These are terrific value at £15, since you get a good range of full size products. We tried the Sweet Dreams gift set (pictured here) which is suitable for both parent and child, and has a gorgeous lavender set. Contains bath milk, hair and body wash, body cream, a cotton flannel and a cute little rubber ducky.

Little Me also do an organic Mum to Be Pamper Me Gift Set, which includes a bath soak, tummy cream and a vanilla scented candle.

To calm your kids

Psychotherapist Heather Bestel has released Magical Meditations 4 Kids, a series of CDs designed to help your child relax.

Each CD contains calming music, and a guided meditation voiced by Heather. Perfect for calming your child before bedtime, or for helping them cope with worries and stress.

Heather's been working with children to help them raise their confidence and self esteem since 1994, so she's an expert in the field. This is a great tool to use if you want to introduce your child to meditation but aren't sure how to start.

Suitable for children aged 4 to 11, Magical Meditations 4 Kids are available here, priced at £11.95 each

For greener bathtimes
Yell out the name of this next product and people might think you're swearing at your child. But instead you will simply be extolling the usefulness of the BabyDam.

The BabyDam is a flexible wall that sits in your bath, meaning that the bath's capacity is reduced, so you'll need much less water for baby's bathtime. It was invented by a husband and wife team, who thought of the idea when they were bathing their baby son. They claim that you can save as much as 10 litres of water each time you use the product, which fits in to any bath.

BabyDam is released this week in the UK, RRP £27.50
