Welcome to our regular Friday snapshot of a week in the life of the parent bloggers of the UK. This was recovery week for everyone who took part in the MAD awards - if you missed that, or want to tell us your tale, we've got gossip and pics here.

Also this week the Blogladesh campaign continued, with Sian from Mummy Tips visiting the UN in New York. That's her in the pic meeting actress Claire Danes, who's also a supporter of Save the Children.

You might have also seen Sian on the ITN 10 O' Clock News on Wednesday. She also collared Nick Clegg, and you can see how he responded to her questions here. As charity campaigns go, this one has certainly left its mark.

More bloggy achievements from The Pink Whisk, who only went and came second in BBC2's The Great British Bake Off. Mummy bloggers know their cakes, and now so does the BBC2 audience. Well done, PW, you were fab.

And here on ParentDish - have you entered our competition yet? If not, why not? It closes on Monday, and the prize is magical.

Out in Blogland, The Five Fs Blog has wise advice on choosing a school. Educate the Parents has a new wheeze for bedtime stories. Expat Mum has turned twit, but isn't sure if it was such a good idea. And finally, send good vibes and a sturdy hanky to Just A Typical Dad, who's in recovery from man flu.

Entry into the hallowed halls of our best blog roundup earns you a special badge and a week off the housework - drop us a line here to claim yours
