Welcome to our regular roundup of what's going on with the UK's mum and dad bloggers. And this week we start with *whispers* gossip.

Yes, the whiff of scandal was hanging over our heroes this week, as bloggers asked just WHO was the company daft enough to invite a load of bloggers to lunch, then retract half the invitations at the last minute, thus annoying pretty much everybody. Blogger Ed knows, but she's not telling.

And shock and awe greeted the accusation at Mom Logic that bloggers aren't real writers. Oh yeah? Powder Room Graffiti had this to say

And tell it to Rosie Scribble, who's been writing of the dramatic start to her trip to Cameroon.

Or even Observations of Mrs Average, who's suffering distinctly un-average windypops. Actually, maybe it's best to leave her alone with that one.

Here on ParentDish this week, we asked what's the point of homework?. And you'll never believe what we found on our toast.

Courting controversy, the Baby Meals blog is accusing the rest of us of lazy parenting. Personally, I take that as a compliment. If you can manage to be lazy in the face of small people and their constant demands then you must be one ingenious mother.

Mum's Survival Guide wonders - is worry normal? Yes it is, along with bags under the eyes and the ability not to flinch at the sight of a snotty nose.

And finally, the heroic Make Do Mum has made a medal for you all. What a star.
