A primary school teacher conducted a survey amongst his pupils to see why they were always so tired in class and falling asleep at their desks.
The results shocked him, as he learned the vast majority of his students were playing on their computers not only every night, but also getting up before dawn to sneak in a session before school.
The concerned teacher discovered 78% of his 10 and 11-year old students were were often still on their computers at 4am!
Richard Gribble, 40, who teaches at Widey Court Primary school in Plymouth, also found some 64% of his class had seen images of a sexual nature on the web.
He told reporters that 'Teachers are swimming against the tide' in terms of trying to educate children who have been up all night.
