Kids can't find UK on map and think Stonehenge is in Egypt

A study of kids' geographical understanding has revealed an astounding lack of basic knowledge about the UK and the wider world.

A staggering 10 per cent of six to 12-year-olds cannot find the UK on a map, whilst a further 10 per cent think the Scilly Isles are in Greece.

But it gets even worse - 6 per cent claim the Outer Hebrides are another PLANET.

The survey, undertaken by Premier Inn, also found that only 25% of kids knew there were seven continents, whilst some thought Stonehenge was in... wait for it... Egypt.
