Once known as 'Sin City', Las Vegas has changed; today it's fashionable, friendly, chic and bags of fun. It's a destination offering something for all ages. Parents can shop at designer boutiques, play golf, indulge in fine dining and spa treatments, or try their luck in the casinos. Kids are entertained dawn 'til dusk by rides, exhibits, child-friendly shows and a huge selection of outdoor activities just a stone's throw from the city.
Virgin Atlantic operates a direct route to Las Vegas from Manchester and Gatwick airports. Virgin Holidays offers a range of packages including the family-friendly Excalibur and Circus Circus, or the upmarket (and utterly gorgeous) Encore and Aria.

- Excalibur
How many kids wouldn’t want to stay in a colourful castle? The casino floor may be a little weathered compared to the shinier new Las Vegas hotels, but Excalibur’s refurbished Widescreen rooms are clean, comfortable and perfectly placed for exploring The Strip. The hotel has a ‘fun dungeon’, a 4D movie theatre (showing SpongeBob SquarePants daily), an all-ages pool with water slide, a great value buffet and the Tournament of Kings show if jousting, fireworks and eating with their fingers doesn’t entertain your brood, nothing will.

Check website for room rates and special offers. General admission to the Tournament of Kings starts at $56.95 and includes a three-course dinner.
