Is this the cheapest school uniform ever? Tesco launch £3.60 school uniform

Tesco
The store claims the kit in their Back to School and Value ranges offer 'fantastic quality products' at the 'lowest possible price', and with sweatshirts at £2, polo shirts at 75p and skirts retailing for just £1.75, the figures can hardly be argued with. And as competition heats up amongst retailers to produce the most cost-effective school-wardrobe, Sainsbury's is hot on Tesco's heels in the bargain basement stakes, rolling out it's own complete uniform for £6 (in the smallest sizes) whilst Asda have an £8 outfit.
Meanwhile, Marks and Spencer's lowest priced complete outfit starts at £11.But does the old adage 'buy cheap, buy twice' ring true? Surely the quality of a 75p polo shirt is not going to withstand the rough and tumble of school life and multi washes?
Do you literally get what you pay for - cheap quality at a cheap price?

What do you think? Do you shop around for the cheapest school uniform items you can get, or do you prefer to spend a bit more on clothes that wash and wear well?
