Supermarket recruits kids to help adults chose toys for xmas PA

Sainsbury's has recruited teeny toy testers to assist stumped customers with tricky Christmas purchases!

The supermarket has taken on a task-force of children to test toys in two age brackets and then give their advice to shoppers.

The retailer introduced the scheme after realising some grandparents, aunts and uncles (and even parents) are totally confused about which toys their young relatives might want.

The testers have spent the last four weeks putting this year's top toys through their paces at home, and now, four testers have been put in 10 stores across the country.

Sainsbury's toy buyer Kate Briggs said: "Grandparents, aunts, uncles and godparents tell us that navigating the toy aisle is one of the most difficult parts of Christmas shopping, with extra pressure to get it right and lots of mind-boggling choices.

"That's why we recruited our army of toy testers, a team of forty children equipped with in-depth knowledge on this year's must have toys."
