Shameless star Tina Malone wants IVF to have a baby with younger husband

Shameless star Tina Malone, who plays one of TV's most foul-mouthed characters, has revealed she's desperate to have children with her toyboy hubby.

The actress, who plays drug-dealing matriarch Mimi Maguire in the Channel 4 series Shameless revealed she plans to start IVF treatment next month.

She already has a grown up daughter, Danielle, who stars in Hollyoaks, but now she and husband Paul Chase – who at 28 is 19 years' Tina's junior – want a baby together.

Chatting to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning, Tina revealed: "I start next month, so fingers crossed!'

"If it doesn't happen I have a daughter. My daughter is an actress in Hollyoaks, and if it doesn't happen we'll get another dog! But it would be nice to have a child together."

Tina almost spoke about her relationship with Paul, who she married in August last year.

"There's nineteen years between me and partner Paul and I'm happy enough to say that we have a great life and we're incredible happy," she said.

"We've been married two years this August, and we've had three years together next month and only had one night apart!"

And she said she was keen to lose more weight to help her conceive.

"I met Paul when I was huge at fat camp, and I had my gastric band two years this March, I've lost 9st 10lb now and I'm a size 12, and I was a size 28!," she explained.

"I've got 17lb to go. And its all down to my gastric band, and the aftercare with the hospital is paramount - you have to watch what you eat - its the obvious thing of 'eat little and often'."

Brooke, who suffered from post natal depression after the birth of her first child, said the second pregnancy had been "a lot easier."
