Hero brother, 12, goes into burning house three times to save four younger siblingsFacebook

A 12 year-old boy battled his way into a burning house THREE TIMES to save his three younger brothers and baby sister.

Have-a-go hero Justin Jackson fought intense flames and choke to save his siblings before the fire service arrived.

The drama happened in Milton, Florida, U.S. early on Sunday morning.

The previous night, heavy storms had knocked out the power to the family home while the children's mother was working a night shift and their dad was working away from home.

Justin lit candles to light the house, which is what is believed to have caused the fire.

"The electricity went out from the storm, so they lit candles," the children's aunt, Cri Jackson told the local news service.

"Next thing Justin knew, one of the younger boys said, 'There's a fire.'"

When firemen arrived on the scene, they found Justin had saved the lives of his three younger brothers and baby sister.

Justin was personally responsible for getting the rest of the children to safety, she said.

Justin had to kick in the door to the room where his youngest sibling, three-year-old Brooklynn, was sleeping to get her to safety. Two of the family's four dogs died in the blaze, one survived, but another hasn't been accounted for.
