TV and radio star Chris Evans has become a dad again.

He broke the brilliant news to his 730,970 Twitter followers at 9.19 am this morning with the message: "Eli Alfred Michael Evans says hi ! Can't wait to join you all out there. A nice quiet first day in and then I'll be right with you. Xxx."

A few minutes later, he added: "Thx so much for al the twitter Eli love. It's gonna be one hell of a wekend !! Pint ! After The One Show of course. Xxxx."

In November, we reported how Chris had broken the news about his wife Natasha's pregnancy. He wrote in his Mail on Sunday newspaper column: "Mrs E is in the family way once again. And yes, I can confirm she is...Thank you so much to the people who made it possible. We are eternally grateful. You make dreams come true."

Chris, who already has a two-year-old son, Noah, with his wife Natasha, a professional golfer, and a 25-year-old daughter, Jade, from a previous relationship, also revealed that the baby was conceived after IVF treatment.

He said: "My wife and I couldn't be more thrilled...Like a lot of couples, becoming pregnant this time was not easy and to the extent that it was beginning to feel like it may never happen.

"Tash's first pregnancy was practically textbook, so naively we thought a follow-up kid would be a cinch. Not so, however.

"Tash did fall pregnant 18 months ago but the pregnancy became ectopic, we lost the baby and, quite frankly, we almost lost my wife.

"Had it not been for an emergency late-night operation by a brilliant lady surgeon, that would have almost certainly been the case.

"After that, Tash's situation was different and we were forced to go down the route of IVF...There have been a few false starts before striking gold. Noah is convinced he's going to have a baby sister come the end of May. All I know is that I might need a few days off my radio show."
