The media is the biggest blame of sexulisation of children, forcing them to see pictures of utter nonsense, is it a wonder that some children turn out to be trouble. I like to think that my childre are well balanced having lived a true childhood with out the need to look like tarts or fall for the promotion of making themselves look older than what they are and growing up far to fast. WHEN my children become adults I hope that all the rust and love that I have with my girls they can come to me and discuss plans for tattoos, piercings etc........... being heavily tatto'd and pierced myself does not mean I want my children to be like me, but i also do not want to stifle their own personailties.

Personally, I think that Willow's style at this age is alarming. I don't understand why kids (I repeat - KIDS) are dying their hair and having all these piercings. What is wrong with having a single piercing in the earlobe? There is plenty of time for all that when they are older if they want to express their individuality. And don't get me started on those parents who have their babies ears pierced, when their children at that age have no say in the matter

Piercings, tattoos, vajazzles (per-lease) and the like - utterly ridiculous. If anyone thinks they look attractive, put them in a big windowless box with the perpetrators, lock it up & throw away the key. Leave the rest of us free of this vile 'self-mutilation-in-the-name-of- fashion'. 'Thanks a lot' TOWIE and other pointless chav-culture programmes for promoting this moronic behaviour.

No piercings before 18.

I'm probably in a minority here, but I don't believe babies or young children should be subjected to piercings anywhere as it's not exactly painless, however short a time the pain may be, it's not their choice to be pierced, so the parents should wait until their children are old enough to make up their own minds. I took my daughter to get her ears pierced when she was 10 last year because she'd been nagging us and most of her friends had had theirs done, but in front of her were two girls visibly frightened and both were crying. I thought it was against the law for anyone to get a tattoo done until they were 18, so that isn't an issue here, but fake or not, encouraging your child to get piercings like that, famous or not, isn't what I'd call responsible parenting. They've plenty of time to experiment with their looks when they're adults, so let them be kids for as long as they can be as childhood is short and should be sweet.

Fake piercings or not it just sums up todays society, attitude and culture. ALL body piercings (fake or not) and twattoos should be banned until the age of 18. They look hideous, they make most people who have them look stupid, they uglify beauty and they are a serious health risk particularly tongue piercings on the under aged. But it's hardly a surprise that kids want them especially the kids of z-list celebrities who'll do anything to crave the attention they desire.

If she has dyed hair ... big deal, piercings big whoop. Pierced ears are considered normal, pierced tongue ... scandal. If people are not harming anybody then stop judging them.
