A dad reportedly FORGOT to drop his son off at nursery and instead left him boiling in the family car in soaring temperates - while he went to WORK.
Kenneth Robinson, 31, told the police that he simply forgot to drop two-year-old Brady at the day care centre, and left him in the car as he went to work at an insurance firm in London, Kentucky.
The police were called after one of Robinson's colleagues spotted the infant looking hot and sweaty in the back of the vehicle.
ABC News report the ambulance service received a call from a 'frantic' woman saying:
"I need an ambulance at Patton-Chestnut and Binder ASAP. A child was left in the car". She can then be heard calling "Is he breathing? Is he breathing?" to a group of people surrounding the car, followed by "Yes, he's breathing."
The little boy was conscious when the police eventually freed him from the vehicle and rushed him to hospital where he was kept in for observation.
He dad was filmed 'looking visibly distraught' whilst talking to the police at the scene - where temperatures were said to have reached around 85 degrees outside and 100 inside the car.
After his arrest, the negligent father pleaded not guilty to felony wanton endangerment, the NY Daily News reports. He now faces child abuse charges.
This comes one week after a baby died in a car in Kentucky.
How on earth can you FORGET your child is in the car? Good grief!

Poor bugger ... the dad, I mean.
It was obviously absent-mindedness but he will be vilified and castigated by the public - and no doubt he will hate himself too. He shouldn't: this is just one of the vagaries of the human make-up. Let him just thank God that it all ended well ... and learn from it..
we learn from our mistakes and i'm guessing he's learnt from this one.
July 27 2012 at 9:40 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHow horrible. I know things like this happen, I would call my aunt a model mother and both my cousins are VERY well looked after. but i'll never forget the day she accidentally left my cousin in a shop, she went back for him 20 mins later and was later arrested for neglect, no charges were brought but she never forgets what could have happened. Sometimes people can forget the most important things in their life and this parent is simply very lucky that his forgetfulness didn't kill his baby. I can't even imagine the guilt I would be going through if it was me.
July 04 2012 at 4:17 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHOW can you forget your child and leave him in a car. Perhaps I could understand it if he was a sleeping baby - just - but NOT a two-year-old toddler who surely must have been making some noise?
June 30 2012 at 8:53 AM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down Replylook if the PM can forget his daughter when he went to the pub for a bar lunch and not get charged with child abuse, but nt a word of a social worker or investigation on why she was left behind and with all the body guards he has and his wife was never charged so its a shame this poor man forgot his 2 year old kid in the car he will face a court case and probely end up in jail were as or own PM gets a pat on the back and asked are we going back next week for a few beers and a lunch asks the body guards for it your turn to buy the lunch and we will leave your daughter at home this time .lol
June 30 2012 at 5:46 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe difference is that at the time, this child was in the sole charge of its father. The PM's child was with mother and father, with two separate cars, and each thought she was with the other. Do you think she would have been left behind if they only had one car? Obviously not.
What is almost more worrying in that case is that none of the security people were awake enough to notice that one member was missing from the family they are supposed to be guarding.
So many people on here who have clearly never forgotten something really important in their life.
I Agree it wasn't a nice thing for the child who could have cooked alive in that car, but from this story I think it is clear the father will be punishing himself far more than any of you could ever do.
Thankfully the child is unharmed.
A child is far more important than something really important. It's like he forgot his own right hand.
June 30 2012 at 5:15 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyIf it were possible/practical to forget your own right hand then I dare say that it too would happen sometimes. As Juliecseymour says below, if you didn't normally have the child and the child was silent throughout and maybe you say got a text whilst driving, then on stopping you looked at the text and something had happened at work, so then you rush to work and forget the child... this is quite a feasible thing to happen and does not in my opinion mean child abuse or neglect and your argument means nothing. I too am glad that the child is OK but am pretty sure the Father will NOT let this happen again.
It is also no different to the David Cameron incident in principle and people don't go around saying he should be locked up for child abuse.
You mean like David Cameron forgot his child and left her in a pub alone! It could be easily done if for example you werent the parent who usually took the child and the child was silent through the journey - calling it child abuse diminishes real deliberate child abuse.
June 30 2012 at 3:43 AM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyHow in God’s name can anyone forget their child? It's impossible unless you think your work is more important. And in this case, that seems to be what happened. After all a 2 year old may have fallen asleep nevertheless that isn't an excuse to forget him. Thank God the outcome was good; still I feel the father should be fined.

Let's cut the guy a little slack here. You can be sure this guy has learnt a lesson he will never ever forget.
Let's just be thankful at the end of the day that no harm has come to his son.
Many hundreds of thousands of children go out in well over 100degree heat - in the Middle East daytime highs can hit 50C - that is 130 Fahrenheit .
Leaving a child in a car is not smart - cars can be stolen , self ignite , children kidnapped - even on a cold day !!!
