'Mummy porn' novel Fifty Shades of Grey sparks pregnancy boom

I've read the books and, aside from being generally disgruntled that I put forth the effort into finishing them, I'm more disgusted by the hype the series has received. There's absolutely nothing glorifying about making an unhealthy and very dangerous relationship into the new ideal. It scares me because it's suddenly okay to stay with someone who beats you because you look like their mother... All from this poorly written Twilight ripoff.

So, 2013 could be a GREY year for births. My wife has JUST started to read her first SHADY BOOK and I am awaiting the results. Can't wait. Condoms on standby.

Nothing wrong with porn, there is a time and a place.
But the words mummy and porn should not be used together, perverse in my opinion.
By the way my Wife has read the book and was completely unimpressed.

what poor sad people read this book, get out there and do whatever it is you need to do. You really don"t need to be reading a book like this total garbage. You are with the wrong person simple as that, try to have a orgasm without worrying who hears what you say or scream women who read this book are just prentending to be adults

If you need to read a book to spice up your sex life what a sad existence people must lead. Whatever happened to using your imagination to spice things up, or are people really so dummed down???!!!

Pfft. This guy is a Professor? Of what? Non-sequiturs? Because I think he has a very different definition to 'complete sense' than, um, everyone else in the universe.

I genuinely worry about anyone who enjoys this book, let alone who gets turned on by it. Like Twilight before it, which it was originally (and is still inescapably) a fanfic of, this book glorifies an abusive, controlling, emotionally harmful relationship between a psychotic stalker and a idiotic ninny and it frankly makes me sick that anyone can read it and have any other reaction than 'whoa, this is disturbing. what kind of editor let this through?' And that's not even mentioning how atrocious the writing is.

Even practitioners of BDSM are getting angry about it because it is supposedly giving a very incorrect, negative and immoral portrayal of something they enjoy. Well, what's new. Twilight ruined Vampires for everybody, it's only natural its various progenies will be making their way into the bestsellers list and slowly shooting down everything else fun in the world, one by one.

Oh for god's sake.
Its hardly a well writen book, the print's in a larger font and the spaces between the line's are a lot wider than normal, to give the effect you've read more than you have, it's very poorly written.
If these bored house wife's need a little spice in there live's they should be nicer to there husbands, then they might not be as many brocken relationships. ;)

Is it a comedy? Could someone please tell me. From reading the extracts below, it must be!!
