Video: Toddler gets fingers stuck in escalator

the lack of common sense of this woman is shocking.

''toddlers eh?''- it wasn't actually the child's fault, it was irresponsible of the mother to let her sit down on it in the first place. How stupid, her clothing could have got caught in it or anything. Poor llittle girl, I'm always scared taking my 2yr old on them but I make sure she stands nicely on them.

I hate escalators now and I have grown children - I was always overly careful with my kids when they were small on escalators - and wow, seeing what happened to this poor little mite's hand, I am so very glad I was classed as being 'over the top' with mine. That poor little mite bless her heart. The pain she must have felt and the problems I envisage she will have in the future with that damage, my heart goes out to her.

I could not believe my eyes to see her sitting down. The mother is senseless. She should have carried her off the escalator, a child that small.
In London I was on an escalator once with the escalator going down (Not up) when the person at the bottom fell down and everyone else fell down like dominoes unable to get off it. That was a very scary moment. I don't like them and since that happened I am very wary of them.

Why on earth would a 'responsible' adult let a child SIT on an escalator? There is such a thing as common sense, or not as the case may be.

I was always scared of escalators when i was a child.....my Little Boy got His shoe lace caught at the top of the escalator and it was very scary few seconds..... Poor little girl...she was lucky she didn't lose her fingers...hope she recovers quickly...

Lucky luck escape, a escalator is a very dangerous machine. She could have lost her finger and if she was even more unlucky her hand. escalatorers are sharp.
