We all want the best for our kids' birthday parties, and let's admit it - we also always want to go just that BIT bigger and better than the last class shindig... which if you have kids in the same school as Romeo Beckham means that the stakes are well and truly raised with Posh's latest effort...

The adoring mum booked a live band for Romeo's 10th birthday party last weekend - and no it was not of the children's entertainer on a trumpet with a singing side-kick variety.

It was no less than The Wanted.

The Sun reckons Victoria 'pulled some strings' to get 'Romeo's favourite band' to agree to appear at the do which conveniently coincided with them being in the States for the MTV VMAS.

A source told the paper that Victoria's 'connections' meant that it wasn't very hard to persuade the guys to play for the party and that they 'met all Romeo's pals and posed for snaps'. It was, the mole added, 'the easiest gig they've ever had'.

Pleased as punch (we're not saying smug...) Victoria showed her appreciation for the band by tweeting: The @thewantedmusic boys, the coolest boys in music!!! Thank you for making Romeo's 10th birthday so special!!!! X vb.'

Obviously she's set a precedent now and we don't dare begin to imagine what Harper will be demanding for her second birthday...
