Dad humiliates three-year-old with 'I pooped in the shower' internet pic

says more about the idiot father than the child - she is a baby! what's his excuse?

she's only 3. Just what did this father think he is going to achieve by doing this? She certainly can't be held responsible and would never have passed a competency test for giving permission. Hopefully someone out there has embarrassing photographs of him, maybe while drunk, and will post them on the net too

I think this is inappropriate because she might be old enough to be aware of or embarrassed about her accident. Also a three year old is more recognisable than a baby and her face and full name are in the photo so she might be bullied about it when she is older. This reminds me of a website called dog shaming, where there are photos of dogs with silly signs saying things they have done wrong. I find that website funny because the dogs will never be aware of it. But a child shouldn't be treated like a dog.

Ok, am I the only one who thinks this is a massive over reaction? The article is very provocatively worded - 'humiliates', 'punished' - but nowhere does the father say this was punishment and the article even states that the girl would have no idea what's written on the card, so how is it humiliating?
Parents take photos of the amusing things their kids do all the time and I think everyone's been threatened with getting the 'baby photos' out when they bring their first boy/girlfriend home. The father obviously didn't think to take a photo of the amusing incident before he cleaned it up so thought he'd take this instead.
The fact that the card has 'permission to use in my yearbook senior year' says to me that it's just intended to be one of those embarrasing baby photos that we all have.
If the child had been seven or eight or even older then I think it would have been inappropriate, but she's three. Three year olds poop in the shower (among other places) and it's funny.
I think in her senior year, this little girl will look at this photo and laugh and wonder why the world lambasted her father for capturing an amusing moment of her childhood years.

It's a joke - he's not really punishing her - all these he's unfit to be a father comments are a complete over reaction.
Its a bit weird but nobody died.
