Coleen Rooney has announced on Twitter that she and husband Wayne are expecting their second child.
The model and TV presenter shared the couple's exciting news this evening - revealing that some people had guessed, so they had to come clean.
Coleen, 26, said they are expecting their new addition - a sibling for son Kai, nearly three - next May.
'A few people guessed, so news is out ha!! Me Wayne and Kai are thrilled that we are expecting a new addition to our family around May time x,' the proud mum wrote.
'It's still only early but bursting with excitement! Also wanted the news to come from us, before anyone else!'
The couple's celebrity pals including Danielle O'Hara and Piers Morgan were quick to congratulate them, with Piers tweeting: 'Congratulations on your fabulous news @WayneRooney & @ColeenRoo - and fingers crossed the baby gets its mother's looks...'
WAG Coleen, who was brought up as a Catholic, has made no secret of her desire to extend her family, saying last year she would like to have 'maybe three or four children' and that she would be 'happy to be a full-time mum'
Coleen gave birth to son Kai in November 2009 at Liverpool Women's Hospital with her husband by her side. The Manchester United striker was said to have sobbed after midwives gave him his son to hold. The England star has also said Kai's birth was 'the proudest moment of my life'.
The couple were praised for refusing magazine deals deals to show off newborn Kai. They married in Italy in 2008 after a five year engagement. The childhood sweethearts started dating when they were 16 years old and Coleen was still at school.
She stood by her man and her marriage after revelations that Rooney had visited a prostitute while she was pregnant with Kai.
