Police hunt man who stubbed cigarette out on toddler's forehead
Police are hunting for a man who stubbed a cigarette out on a three-year-old boy's FOREHEAD!
The random-passerby put the cigarette out on Javi Lal's head 'like it was an ashtray', said the toddler's mum, Malikah.
Now police have released CCTV images to try to bring the stubber to justice. Mother and son were walking through Nottingham when the horrendous incident happened.
Recalling the attack, Malikah, 30, said: "The man just walked past and turned around, looked directly at my son and crushed his fag-end out on his head like it was an ashtray.
"Then the man just stood there, as if he was waiting for a reaction, as if he had done nothing wrong. Then he smiled and casually walked away.
"I grabbed my son, because the man didn't run off. I picked him up and was just holding him and telling him I was sorry. I am feeling disappointed with myself, because I've always thought if someone went for my children, I would go for them.
"I feel kind of responsible, as if I've let my baby boy down. I was mortified and was nearly physically sick. I couldn't stop crying.
"But he didn't even cry. He stood there saying 'ouch ouch ouch' and rubbing his head - I think I was more traumatised by it than him."
The youngster was left with burns and a nasty mark for two days following the shocking attack on September 6.
The CCTV images show a scruffy-looking man police want to speak to in connection with the attack which happened in the Hyson Green area of the city.
A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "It happened near to the tram stop at about 6.30pm on Thursday 6 September 2012.
"The suspect is black, between 30 and 35 years old, about 5ft 3ins tall, of average build, and was clean shaven with short afro style hair.
"He was wearing a grey top and a black jacket."
