Happy restful birthday, Kate! Duchess of Camdbridge puts her feet up for her 31st PA

Happy birthday, Your Duchessness! That's our message to our favourite Royal mum-to-be Kate Middleton as she celebrates her 31^st birthday today.

And with our total blessing and understanding, she is said to have opted for a totally fuss-free, feet-up, stay-at-home celebration rather than a big limelight affair.

St James's Palace has said the Duchess will be marking her birthday 'privately'.

It's thought the 12 weeks pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is with her husband Prince William at their home in Anglesey, North Wales, where the Duke works as an RAF Search and Rescue helicopter pilot. We hope he'll be making Kate a romantic birthday meal.

But no soft cheese or raw eggs, eh, Wills? She's suffered enough sickness after being hospitalised with hyperemesis gravidarum a few weeks ago.

Happy birthday, Kate.

What a wonderful life so far, never had a proper job, married a prince, doesn't have to worry about mortgage repayments, council tax and utility bills and whats more I bet she doesn't the same discomfort in child birth that most women go through.
They say money and connections don't bring happiness but by crikey it goes a long way

Mine was yesterday, a quiet affair, no press or photos, 5 physical cards and half a dozen by internet, because my girlsand grandchildren are too mean to use the post. Had a beer and a prawn sandwhich, bought for me, and a chocolate Swiss Roll!

Your lucky. My children and grandchildren stopped contact with us when we got to be a liability through age and infirmity. At least you have Internet greetings

I might get 2 birthday cards when it's my turn but I doubt if there'll be a pint and a prawn in it for me.
