It may seem like everyone has a bun in the oven at the moment, but not everyone in showbiz is sold on the idea of having kids.
From not wanting the 'encumbrance' of children to being too much of a worrier to start a family, we check out the childless celebs who have never wanted kids...
Celebs who do not want children
- Cameron Diaz
Don't expect Cameron Diaz to be picking out baby grows any time soon. "I have an unbelievable life. In some ways, I have the life that I have because I don't have children," she's said. "Children aren't the only things that bring you gratification and happiness. And honestly? We don't need any more kids. We have plenty of people on this planet."

- Dita Von Teese
Queen of burlesque Dita Von Teese isn't planning to have babies either. Dita split from husband Marilyn Manson back in 2007, but even while they were together, children weren't on the couple's to-do list. "I don't feel that we need to have children to validate our marriage and I don't need children to claim I'm a fulfilled woman," she said.

- George Clooney
"Even one kid running around my villa makes me nervous, so I'm definitely not a candidate for father of the year!" says silver fox George Clooney. "If I need to surround myself with children and feel like I have this big extended family, I can always call Brad and Angie and ask them to stay with me, just to remind me why I'm so happy without."

- Elisabetta Canalis
Gorgeous Elisabetta Canalis says she has no desire to start a family. "It's never been an objective for me," she says. "My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs."

- Eva Mendes
Eva Mendes is another star who has no plans to have children. "I don't wanna have kids ... I love the little suckers; they're so cute. But I love sleep so much, and I worry about everything," she said. The actress, who has been with long-term partner, filmmaker George Augusto since 2002, has no plans to marry either, saying: "I feel like the institution of marriage is very archaic."

- Ricky Gervais
Funnyman Ricky Gervais says he and his long-term partner always knew they didn't want children. "We never wanted to be parents, with all that entails: the loss of freedom, total dependency," he said. "I'm the sort of person who has to check three times that I've shut the door, so I'd probably stare at a kid all day to check it was breathing."

- Jane Fallon
Jane Fallon, who has been with Ricky since 1982, has revealed they made the decision together. "It's a difficult world and you shouldn't have kids unless you really want them," she said. "I've seen people go broody in a physical way that I've never experienced. Luckily, Ricky feels the same way."

- Renee Zellweger
Renee Zellweger has had a few long-term relationships (and one very short-lived marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney) but has said she never wanted to be a mum. Speaking to David Letterman, the actress said: "Motherhood has never been an ambition. I don't think like that."

- Fergie
Despite being settled with husband Josh Duhamel (the couple married in January 2009 after five years of dating), Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, 35, says they have no plans to start a family. "You can be a mother and still be completely sexy," she told Cosmopolitan magazine. "[But] I don't want anything clouding my focus."

- Helen Mirren
Dame Helen Mirren told Saga magazine she is happier 'without encumbrance'. "I always did – and still do – value my freedom too highly," she said. The actress also famously once revealed that watching an educational video on childbirth put her off from a young age. "I swear it traumatized me to this day. I can't look at anything to do with childbirth. It absolutely disgusts me," she said.
