Frightfully bad Halloween cakes

You can't knock the home made ones...at least they had a go, but the shop made ones are atrociously funny!

If I made one as good as the 'little girl in a white sheet' cake, I'd be damned proud of my cake decorating skills! I thought it was awesome. I've decorated my fair share of cakes in themes of Thunderbirds, Postman Pat, Beauty and the Beast, whatever else was fashionable when the kids were growing up. Not all of them turned out perfect, but they all got eaten.

Come on Liz show us your efforts then before having ago at other parents, I bet you dont even know how to turn the bloody cooker on.

i think the halloween cakes are good, as we are living where my husband works, i shall buy a bag of sweets for any halloween children who come knocking.

So Liz Stansfield, who used to be a writer with "Practical Parenting" magazine, thinks its a good idea to have a pop at the parents that at least have a go at making cakes for their little'uns rather than run to the nearest Tesco store to buy a ready made cake. Making and icing a cake is not that simple but it is practical, something I would have thought Liz Stansfield would advocate. Unfortunately it seems the way things are now, if you make cakes, knit jumpers, make dresses or toys for your children then up pop people like Liz Stansfield to take the piss. I wonder if she would be able to to do any of these things, perhaps that's the problem, the old "I can't do anything so lets take the piss out of those that can" attitude.

Nothing wrong with the cakes they are just a bit of fun for the kids. In fact the first picture the cake is cute.

I always thought that Halloween was for the litle uns. We used to have some right laughs when my kids were younger. Who cares what they look like ? If you are a cake snob , then I suggest you go to Waitrose.

I don;t see what's wrong with these. It's people having a go at something and it's fun. Stop being so bloody snide!
