There is a lot of contempt here for a beautiful and young couple who have, to be honest, done nothing to deserve it. Of course we are all entitled to have our own views, so long as we don't misrepresent the true facts. William does work for a living. The couple will not get any benefits from the state for having a child. They represent and uphold British culture. For me they are more than worth it. I wish them happiness together and healthy boy or girl.

I see the general consenses is why should they have a kid at all and call it Diana if its a girl Firstly if they have a kid and its a girl it should not be called Diana, Diana was one of a kind and she should have her name left alone in here memory. and when they have a kid they should NOT be allowed to benefits they get enough, and I also agree that he should be made to work like all the other personnel he will be king some day so untill then make him work for a livinb

Im not anti-royal but theres to many of them already. Given the state of our countrys finances, another expensive mouth for the taxpayer to feed is one nore to many. Do you think they are after the child benefit even though they dont need it.

Haven't the powers that be got a bloody cheek going on about undeserved child benefit when this royal pantomime gets funded to the point of luxury but serves no real purpose.All this 'tourist attraction' crap that people come out with is just nonsense.....they don't come here specifically to see the Queen; I lived and worked in London for 15 years and never saw her once....they come to see and experience our, and in some cases their own, heritage. The royals have no political power, they're an anachronism in the modern world; their usefulness in running a country has long gone, they're an unnecessary expense, especially given the present economic climate......yet they sit there and take the money knowing that there are people well on their uppers, losing their homes, benefits, jobs and self respect.

Well in Tracy. Just who do they think they are these pensioner bashers ? Who do they think provided there child benefits when they were growing up ? Who paid for there schooling ? And there hospitals that they are inheriting ? what about the roads that they drive on ? Everything that they are inheriting was paid for by the older people and people who went before them. I bought my pension with sweat, leave me alone to enjoy the time I have left. Rant over.
